Post subject:  Interchangeable gas tanks?

Does anyone know of any aftermarket or factory plastic tanks that will fit a MR175? I am currently using a 79 CR125 aluminum tank on this bike but it does not fit right or look right(it is zip tied to the frame, lol). I am trying to stay away from metal tanks since they are prone to getting damaged like my original tank for this bike. Any advice is appreciated

Thanks in advance.

Since the MR175 is similar, size wise, to an MT125, and the MT125 tank is similar to the CR125 from 74-78, I would guess that a plastic tank that fits a CR125 would do the trick. You see them on ebay every now and again, usually an RC Replica red plastic tank.

Will a tank from a 1974-1978 CR250 fit? Also, i read somewhere that a tank off a pre81 suzuki rm would fit. Is this true?

Thanks

73-76 CR250 Tanks wont work too lomg. 78 CR250 tanks are different but probably wont bolt up unmodified. Any 74-78 CR125 tank should bolt on.
