Post subject:  my winter project

i got my 76 mt 250 a few years back, its stripped of all its lights, original anything that makes it different, but i am completly stripping the frame and engine, and doin a custom restoration, my new clutch and top end of my engine should be comming in soon, (when i took off the top end i relized that the piston was missing a ring and had a crack :shock: ) but its all gonna go back together ill take some pics and show the finished project come spring should be different :lol: i wish i could have kept the bike original but the old parts are hard to come by and i had nothing to go off of so its preety much a MT to a CR conversion in the end,
does anyone have any sugestions of things i should change on the bike ive already done the following:
- the key lock on the triple tree wasn broken as in gone so mounts have been cut and shaved
- the airboxes battery mount has been removed
- oil injection on the bike wasnt working when i got it, so i removed the resivoir and all nozzles and the pump,
- im getting my new yellow winged honda decals off ebay, and colors on the bike havnt been decided,
- new tires already have, no more enduro tread
- the rear sproket is geared lower
- different rear shocks raising the rear end about 2 inch (much needed for my back!)
- my seat is recovered
- new clutch cable, and lever
- all unessary wireing has been already removed

does anyone have any other suggestions of things that i can do to that are cheap and give a good bang for my buck?

If you happen to come across them;
A pipe is nice, I have a Bassani on mine.
You may want to ditch the steel rims for Aluminum.
*IF* you happen to come across a 73-74 CR250 cylinder and manifold it would bolt up.
Mine is geared just a bit lower with a larger rear sprocket. Helps for trial riding.
