I've been having issues going into a false neutral when down shifting on my 1974 CR125. I have the cases split now trying to find the problem. Any assistance/suggestions would be greatly appreciated...Thanks |

Check for rounded corners on the gear dogs and slots where they engage together and check for bent shift forks that have wear marks from the gears rubbing on them. I also had one shift drum with a chip in the channel that affected the shift fork travel. I switched to a steel MT125 shift lever instead of the CR125 aluminum lever to absorb some of the shock to the transmission from hard falls and collisions. |
