I've been having issues going into a false neutral when down shifting on my 1974 CR125. I have the cases split now trying to find the problem. Any assistance/suggestions would be greatly appreciated...Thanks

Check for rounded corners on the gear dogs and slots where they engage together and check for bent shift forks that have wear marks from the gears rubbing on them. I also had one shift drum with a chip in the channel that affected the shift fork travel. I switched to a steel MT125 shift lever instead of the CR125 aluminum lever to absorb some of the shock to the transmission from hard falls and collisions.
