Hi, I just joined this forum. I just got a 1982 Honda CR480 that I want to fix up to race a few vintage races. The pipe has a dent in it and the forks and shock needs to be rework. I need name of someone that I can send the pipe to that can fix it and name of someone that can work on the forks and shock. Am from Augusta, Ga. and am 55 years old. I started MX riding in 1974 with a new TM125. I now ride a 2003 CRF450. Thanks for your help! |

Race Tech will re-build the forks and the shock. I went with Tru Tech for the shock because Rich Truinski races a 480. The pipe can be fixed by any welding shop or a specialist from the back of a MX magazine. Pro-Form Racing will do you a hand-built pipe and silencer if you want. |

Hey Moto, welcome, same here started riding back in the early 70's, first bike was a Honda SL 100 then Yam DT250 then TM400 then a Rm250 and then quit in 1980 and now I'm back with a vengence at the ripe old age of 50 and feels great!! Only problem is, my brain knows what to do, but my body is telling my brain to go fly a kite to put it nicely! |
