Hi, I need to know if a 1983 Honda CR480 Showa rear shock is the same size as a 1982 Honda CR480 KYB shock and will bolt on to my 1982 Honda CR480 without any modification. Thanks for all your help. Jerry Murphy |

The overall length (OAL) for the 1982 is 14.75" and the 1983 is 16". Source: Works Performance, who can sell you a complete replacement shock or re-valve whatever you have. They will also press a proper bearing into the linkage. |

Thanks redrocket. Am not going to bid on it but there is a 1983 Honda CR480 rear shock on eBay that the bid ends today around 5:30-6:00pm EST. The bid is $107 now. If it was the same size I would bid on it for my 1982 CR480. Thanks again redrocket. |
