Wow, I've been watching that bike to see how high it would go. I was surprised it made it to $8000 and didn't think it would get any higher.

Jeeez. If it carries on like this I will get priced out of the sport.

You find that the more people are prepared to pay for a particular item then everything associated rises in price accordingly.

Personally I prefer to ride my Elsie and this year she will get raced by me (not very competitively) in the twinshock class.

Thats what I figured, seems about everyone here uses theirs. The temptation to ride it would be too strong with me tho

There is a local honda dealer with one of these on display. Still has little nubs on the tires. No scratches anywhere I can see. Supposed to only have a few minutes running time on it. Guys at the shop told me a couple of years ago he had been offered more than $10,000 repeatedly, but wouldn't sell. Looks like he is smart (and can obviously afford to hold on to it indefinitely).

that´s interesting, I´ve restored a few bikes and use them, but now I just bought a cr250R 79 with 99% no use, almost totally original and the temptation to use it is very very strong, but it´s so beauty that I think it deserves a museum or something, actually it is a dilema. I think I´ll rather search for another one, restore it and use it.
