Post subject:  1974 CR125M Serial Number Location
Hi,

I just purchased a 1974 CR125M and was trying to find the serial number on the engine. Could someone tell me the location on the engine? If it was located in an obvious place like top of engine case, then it must have a replacement case or something. Thanks.

Scrappy, the serial number is located on top of the left side case, roughly in line with the countershaft sprocket and just behond the point where the ignition wire enters. Check that it isn't buried under too much paint or has been broken off by a thrown chain. :D

Thanks Red Alert,

Looks like a chain took out more than I had thought. Not a very good place to locate the serial number.
