I have a '77 CR125M stock airbox metal cage (for the filter element) which needs rebonded to the plastic airbox. Does anyone have a recommendation for good bonding of these parts? The original bonding element on the metal cage could not be salvaged, it was crumbling.

I think I would just try & find a new one. These boxes come up quite often on e-bay for pretty reasonable prices.

Good Luck

If it is the rubber seal on the metal cage go to Home depot and you can buy foam rubber seal with adhesive backing (peal and stick) works great. if its the filter you can buy new filters from uni filter. buy the good one that has main filter with thinner second filter for large particles.
