Is there a difference between the 76 cr125 and 250 fuel tanks? I need a tank for my 250 and want to know if a 125 will work. thanks |

The CR125 tanks are a different shape and hold less and are made of steel, not aluminum like the CR250 tanks. As for the hole alignment in mounting the 125 on the 250 I couldn't say, but I'm sure someone else on the forums has tried it and will post an answer. |

You can use the clarke RC plastic tank for both the 125 and the 250. I bought 3 new tanks from clarke and have them on both my 76 & 77 125's and on my 75 250 which is the same as the 76 250. they do not use the rear bolt mount. The seat and a few plastic zip ties works. Make sure you get the fuel valve they have those available also. Kevin |

Mitchie, I'll try to post: I had the clark RC tank on my MR for a while. In the picture, i'm usin g a CR seat, it fit the back of the tank better. To Mount: I used 2 big rubber corks that fit the round hole in the fron gussets, drilled a hole to fit a long mounting bolt that went thru the tank, cork, frame, ect. The tank mounting holes are a few inches short of the stock threaded bosses. Switched tanks after I ran out of gas on the trails. RC tanks looked cool, but not big enough for trail riding! |
