The color you want is Tahitian Red. It is available in cans from http://www.flanders.com and http://www.vmxracing.com. IMO, you should decide whether you want or need after-market plastic and then color-match the paint to that. |

Redrocket, could you help me with this Flanders site? I went to the site, but they don't seem to sell anything, they just let me search for something, and then they pass me off to another site. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for your help |

Got it, thank you so much. Perches and levers are up next on the "to order" list. |

I bought several can of paint in my search for the right color. For what it's worth, I used Dupli-Color engine enamel. Oddly enough the color is Chrysler Industrial Red (DE1632). The label says it's good to 500 degrees. It matches quite well. |

Dew thats the same paint I used for my motor and it worked great! Nice shiny finish, looks better than original in my book. I found paint at lowes, American Heritage something in red for the frame and it matched the Chrysler paint. Found some plastic paint at Home Depot for the plastic and there you go! Not quite Tahitian Red but works for me, I'm just gonna mess it up riding it anyway! ![]() |
