I have a 81' 450 elsie iam reviving and i am wondering what to do with the forks and braking. I think i would like to upgrade to a later model fork and brake setup. Does anyone out there know of a stock Honda combo that would be a bolt on to my current frame neck? any help or advice on this would be a great help. thanks! 8)

You can put a complete front-end from a later CR - say a 1987 - with 43mm forks and a disk brake. You might need to transplant the steerer or use some spacers. However, this bike is quite rare and has some significant faults that reflected Honda's first try at a production open bike. It is attractive to collectors, but not if it is modified. Why not sell it/part it out and get a later CR complete?
