hi
i have read that 76 gear box fits in the 1973 cases.what other parts will interchange.will crank and ignition swap.i know the barrel is different

Some will, some won't. For specific parts, I go to a site like
Discount Honda Parts that have the parts numbers listed and crossed to diagrams. If the part numbers are the same, they should fit. I use this quite a bit when looking at various parts on e-Bay.

Just for info, Discount Honda Parts doesn't have a lot available for vintage bikes. Just because they will let you order, doesn't mean that they have any of it in stock.

The complete transmission will fit in the 73 cases. The clutch and shift shaft are the same as well as the clutch cover. The crank will not work since the rod is longer in the 76 model. The ignition will work in the 73 but you can only swap the 76 into the 73. It may not work the other way.

could i use the crank if i put a spacer under the barrel i have seen these forsale on the web longer rod c/w spacer.to suit cr250 1973
