hi what type of ignition do most people use in there cr250m 73/74. i have a nos ignition less points are these worth installing cheers jimg |

my ignition system was junk on my 74 elsinore. I upgraded to the PVL CDI unit. |

PVL is the way to go! I have points in my 74 CR250 but they require a constant up keep in order for your CR to run correctly! Forrest Rohrs 73 LT2M 100 74 CR250 75 XR75 |

jimg - I agree - I have PVL and my race mates do not - the number of times points have let them down at race meetings its not funny - after all how can you beat your mates if they cant ride???? cheers Rossco |

I've used the PVL for several years now. Works great. Much easier to start and better low end response. I never had any trouble with the stock ignition, probably a couple thousand miles of desert racing back in the day. |
