The MT intake uses two bolts and the CR uses four.

Good luck with answer about the rim. It may turn the thread into a definitive discussion on the price and performance of lacing a rim with new spokes and I could use them myself.

The '74 and '78 rims have different part numbers but they are both 36 hole
and the hubs on both years are essentially the same diameter (at least on
one side) and width so most of the spoke angles should be the same.

Only way to be sure is to get a set of '74 spokes and try lacing one up.
I laced a '74 Honda CR125 rim to a Hodaka SuperRat hub (big weight
savings) with no problems and those two hubs were different in every
respect.
