Please can somebody tell me what is the best method of "bringing back" the colour on a plastic tank? The tank on my CR is dulled and needs polishing up. I have been told to use wet and dry 1200 grade(??) and a bit of elbow grease. What methods do you guys use and what results do you get? many thanks |

Ruairi - check out the OZVMX site in Oz as their was a huge thread about this on there from cutting back the tanks with a blade and working your way out to 2000 grit sandpaper. Also products such as Plastic renew are a complete kit available for minor restos. The guys also talk about immersing the tank in bleach (overnight I think) if it is a white tank to bring back the colour. Too much to go into here though sorry. regards Rossco |
