Post subject:  MR250 replacement carb

Looks like my Keihin is at the end of the rope. Having hard time finding new needle and new starter valve set (choke plunger). Thinking of just getting a new Mikuni, which wouldn't cost much more than those two parts anyway. The 34mm MR carb is different than the 34mm CR carb. I see Vintage Elsinores offers 36mm VM Mikunis, but worried it is too much carb for my MR250. Has anyone tried putting a new Mikuni on an MR?? Do you know which Mikuni would be best?? If so, any jetting recommendations to start with?? Thanks everyone...

2ยข You may have trouble finding another MR250 owner with carb experience since they were only made 1 year. If it were me I would get in touch with someone like Sudco and see if they have any experience with replacement carbs and jetting.
