I have a question about the compatability of a Wiseco top end bearing and wrist pin.
My connecting rod has three grooves and the OEM wrist pin has none. According
to my manual, I need a top end bearing #2 or blue. My question is will the Wiseco
"one size fits all" top end bearing and wrist pin work in this application or should I
get the correct Honda parts (bearing and wrist pin) to use with the Wiseco piston?

I noticed when I was "dry" fitting the bearing, it had more play than the worn out
OEM bearing that is being replaced.

Anyone have experience with this one?

I ran into the same confusion when shopping for a piston kit for my '75 CR250.
The local Honda dealer looked in his data and advised the colour codings are no longer valid :?
I bought a 1st oversize Wiseco piston kit and had no problems yet...about 1 hour running time

Thanks for the info. According to Honda, the different rod/pin/bearing sizes were measured in micrometers so
Wiseco probably decided those tolerances were good enough. I know Honda still does the A and B piston
deal on the current bikes. I don't know if it has to do with production deviations or the use of different mills
to produce the same components i.e. cylinders produced on mill "A" get "A" pistons and vice versa.

I noticed you have a Husqvarna 360 "Mikola Replica", Awesome bike! I raced one back in the day, paid $2000
for it (a fortune), but it ruled the open class. After I finish restoring my '74 and '79 Elsinores, I would love to
find one if possible and do a complete restoration.
