I have a 1981 CR125r elsinore that I have completly redone from the frame to all its components.I had the top end rebuit but we did not look in the lower half unfortunatly because the person that we got it from said he had done work to it.That was not the case, there is a bad gasket or seal in it that just lets it leak out whatever you put into it. ![]() ~Josh~ |

Just an opiinion based on the limited info you gave. $500 plus or minus $300. There's some really importantant stuff you have to include like does it run? I have a standard where if you can ride it the minimum price should be at least $400 and it goes up from there depending on how nice it is. The thing is if it runs you can check all the other "got ya's" like clutch, transmission, carburation, engine noise, et cetera. The problem is with a non runner you may end up having to replace the entire engine which depending on doing it yourself or having it done can run anywhere from the cost of gaskets to ~$4,000. No matter how much money you put into it or how good the bike was in its era, they are only worth about a grand. All this changes upward if you have after market bits on it of course like Foxx or Simmons suspension. Last Foxx front end I saw sell on eBay went for ~$2,600. Rick |
