Hi Guys. Greetings from down under.
A while ago I emailed an ebay seller for shipping quote to get a CR250m engine to Australia, the best price the seller was able to find was $580US.
Anyone know of another shipping option other then UPS airfreight? I dont mind a 2 or 3 month wait but im told UPS no longer offers international surface mail and everything now goes by airmail.
My best option to find an engine is to purchase an engine in the USA. I have seen a few on ebay com. No one in Aussie seems to want to part with their spares, understandable as we just dont have that many CR250m's over here.

Cheers Quicksilver.
Australia.

Have you looked at usps.com? They've beat ups on international stuff for me. Watch your box size and weight, as it's easy to go over the edge of what they say is reasonable.

Yes mate checked them out. USPS quoted $507 for a CR250M engine to be shipped to Aussie just yesterday.

Did you get to read their detail sheet of charges by weight and size? You get clobbered by missing the weight threshholds by the tiniest little bit. Otherwise, I am out. Geez, it's not Aussie is on another planet. $500 is nuts.

If you can find someone who can travel light and will carry the engine from the Los Angeles area to Australia in their check-in baggage, I'll happy receive the engine from the seller and put it in a Rubbermaid chest so it can be carried easily and won't get damaged.
