Hey Mike Stiles,
Did you ever put this swingarm on your bike?
How did it work out?
What is the dimension in a straight line from the center of the forward pivot hole to the begining of the axle slot?
I just picked up a 1980 CR250, and I am thinking of buying one of those swingarms.

Thanks Alex

Not yet. The middle of the swing arm pivot to the middle of the axle slot is 22". The axle slot itself is 2.25" long. Pivot to bottom shock mount is 14.25" and shock mount to mid-rear axle slot is 7.75". On the 1980 bike I do not believe this arm gives you a longer wheelbase, but it will give you rising rate suspension. If you have the money it is a good mod, but only if you have done your forks and shocks first.

Mike,
Thanks for the info.

I have already put on 83 forks, and raced it yesterday at the CALVMX/ARHMA event at Barona. Forks were much more plush than the stock ones.

I will do the swingarm and shocks at the same time.
I have to decide on Works or Ohlins about $300 difference. So it depends on how many bikes and parts I sell.
