Does anyone make a reasonably priced center stand for a 73 Elsinore. Vintage Iron has a universal stand for 70$ plus shipping!! I'm looking for one that I'm sure would fit and be reasonable. Thanks, Kevin

Kevin,

There are plenty on eBay

Sorry about that. I should have paid attention to the year.

Hi Kevin,

There is a guy who owns a welding shop in the Central Valley of California who makes a real good one. I have one. He ran ads for awhile on the AHRMA webmart but I just looked and wouldn't you know it... can't find it. You might check with Matt Benson who runs the AHRMA website and see if he remembers. Matts email is: mailto:mattbenson@ahrma.org

I have seen this fellow selling his stands at some of the Nationals out here. If for some reason he shows at this Sundays regional at Sand Hill I'll pick up some info for you. If'n I remember. ;>

Another option is one of those platform stands like for the modern bikes but with a large gap in it for a down pipe. This is what I prefer actually. I have one made by Whipps that I got from Richard McCormick a couple of years ago. He didn't like it preferring the model from this other guy I mentioned above so I thought I'd try it. Except for changing oil it's great.

Loren
