Just bought a 1976 mr175, but the tank is the green of the 75 models. Is this a leftover tank, or was it swapped out at some time. Is there any way of knowing for sure? |

I doubt if it was a leftover, more likely it was replaced by somebody over the years. The only way to know if it was the original tank that I know of would be to see if there is any kind of identifying marks stamped on the underside of the tank. The correct part number is 17500373770ZA with a supercede of -1ZA in light ruby red, Honda paint code R-25. Sounds like the tank you have is part number 17500373305ZA in glare green, Honda paint code G-44 that came on the KO model. See if you can find any portion of the above numbers on your tank, might help answer your question. Hope this helps. dogger |

Thanks for the feedback. I've got the tank off to do some sealer and petcock work, haven't seen any numbers. I'll assume someone switched in an older 1975 tank. It's in decent shape and I like the color, so I guess that's all that matters anyway! |
