Don't know if any of you have seen it but Motorcyclist magazine has a new magazine out called Motorcyclist Retro. It's a bi-monthly on it's second issue and has a 13 page article on the '73 CR's. Nothing new but has a couple of nice prototype pictures. |

Actually the magazine comes out twice yearly with hopes to have more editions next year and subscriptions available. They have done a great job on the first issues. They have real nice pics of my Cr 125 & 250 filmed at MileStone MX. Regards, Dan Troesken |

I bought a copy of the magazine and really liked it. The photos they used were well researched and I learned a bit I didn't know before. The rest of the magazine was pretty good also. Recommended. |

I thought the Elsinore history and photos of the prototype bikes in the magazine article was interesting. It was hilarious reading about the origin of the green stripe.... Gary Jones was doing the American testing of a prototype back in 72. While he was riding, the sun was reflecting off the shiny silver tank and blinding him over jumps and at certain angles. The Honda engineers found a can of spray paint in the truck, army green primer, and sprayed the top of the tank. The rest was history with the production bikes getting the tank stripe in flat army green. I recommend this magazine. Dan's Elsinores look pretty nice too! |
