hello out there, I picked up a 75 MT250 Elsinore as a project bike and need some help. The bike came without points. I got the points and installed them, but no spark. The primary coil, cap and spark plug are good. I tested the AC generator and found that the circuit is closed even if the points are open. I also found that the black wire from the ignition coil is attached to black/white wire that runs to the outside of the case, then attached to the point. Is this the way that the points are connected on the MT250? Does anyone have a pic of a correctly wired set of points for the MT250? Thank you |

I can get you a picture of the points on my MT250, but if they are wired correctly you could have other problems such a your magneto or you coil. But hopefully it is not wired correctly. I will get a pic for you tomorrow. Jordan Hoff |
