Post subject:  1976 CR125 spark arrestor

I am planning on riding at a DNR run scramble area with my Elsinore, (The Mounds in Genesee County, MI) but the rules state I need a USFS approved spark arrestor. How do I know if I have that (I don't think I do, I know it doesn't have that large baffle on the end of the pipe) and does anyone know where I can get one for my bike? I really don't want to spend $150+ for a new pipe, and I don't want to cut my vintage pipe! Any help is appreciated!

I am looking for the same thing for my CR250R to ride at the same place.
Does anyone know where to find a spark arrestor?
Did our CR's come with one stock?
I can't imagine it would be that hard to make one.

Dale,
They did come with a spark arrestor but it was a "usda"??? approved one and not USFS approved. I ended up buying the FMF turbinecore2 spark arrestor for $107. I had to weld an adaptor to the end of my stock exhaust to fit it and it hangs out about 2' from the end of the stock pipe but at least I am legal to ride at the mounds now. Too bad it is going to rain all weekend this weekend!

Aaron, have you been to the Mounds yet?
I think I am going this Friday, and am a little concerned if my stock pipe will pass the sound level test.
Does your 125 have a stock exhuast?
How did you do with the sound level test?
Thanx
