Recently I have been whining about the scarcity of "430" rims for my '79 resto.
I was getting desperate until I found a shop in Japan (actually, they found me),
that hooked me up with a new pair of rims. Notice I didn't say NOS.

The folks at this shop went to Daido (DID) and had them turn out a run of
brand new "430" rims. I have posted a couple of pictures. For anybody
attempting an authentic restoration, this is great news as these rims have
virtually disapeared.

They also specialize in fuel tanks, stock and works (more pictures) and many
other hard to find parts. I can tell you first hand, their craftsmanship is first
rate and their prices are reasonable. Based on my experience, I can highly
recommend them. I just wish I knew about them when I was building my '73.

So these folks will actually approach the vendors in Japan with requests for small product runs? That's incredible! I imagine there are minimum orders involved, but that's to be expected. A great option to have - thanks!

I thought the same thing when he told me. Can you imagine a big company in
this country doing that. The minimum order was twenty for the rims.

This shop is big time into vintage motocross. He has sent me pictures of
hand made cone pipes that are recreations of the works Honda pipes that
exit out the left side on the '78-'79. He just teamed up with an ex-factory
Showa tech that is also offering suspension parts and work for vintage
race bikes. This resource has a lot of potential.

Thank you for the highest possible praise. However, I praise too much them.
To see a 430 progress image of dogger315, I am surprised at the technology and the height of the level in all of hear.
It is poor English, but I can change technology and information some other time and strongly expect what each other can enjoy.
