hey elsinore buds. i have a 78 cr 250. i run the high desert above los angeles and never changed the jetting. bike always ran gr8. i holed a piston, replaced with new and rings. all of a sudden i have to rejet for different altitudes. i've been working bikes for over 3o yrs and i do have above average know how on bikes. would any 1 know what would cause such a radical change? or have i stumbled into another dimentia, lol. its not that rmportant, i just rejet, but this is a new 1 on me. keep up the good work guys and type @ u later. I run a CR250R 1979 at historic races from Carlsbad (near sea-level) to Cahuilla Creek (3600 feet). I would like to share jetting tips. I run a Mikuni carb I got from Vintage Elsinores.
