Will a chain slider from a 84 CR500 fit a 83 CR480 with modification?
Either that or does anybody know where to pick up the rear chain slider for a 83 CR480?
My CR480 is missing the rear chain slider.

The chain slider from an '84 500 is very close to the slider on the '83 480
and can be made to fit with some modifications. In '84 Honda moved
the drive sprocket to the left side so the slider will have to be inverted
to fit the 480. Also, some new mounting holes will need to be drilled in
the 480 swingarm and the old holes will need to be sealed (I recommend
using metal aircraft tape for this so you can remove it and mount the
correct slider if/when it becomes available again)

Not an ideal fix, but it will do the job until somebody starts "repopping"
these pieces.
