| Post subject: | Is this how my front suspension should be? |
I have a 78 cr250 and when I sit on the bike the front suspension drops about 3 inches alot farther then it should. Kinda like u dont even have to sit on it just the weight of the bike drops it down almost. Should I put thicker fork oil in or whats the deal? I'm guessing something else? I think I need new front and rear suspension. |

I'm no expert, but I would think it needs new springs for whatever your weight range is. Maybe you could pre-load them with a 10-15mm piece of PVC pipe or find some air caps until you get the new springs. J |

Here's a link to a good article from Race Tech on how much preload to give your front end. http://www.race-tech.com/articles/Suspe ... prings.htm I have mine set up a bit stiffer than the article calls for. HTH, Loren |
