Anybody know of someone that can trick out stock 79 CR forks? What were some of the kits for these back in the day (Terry Cable is all I can think of.) Does Race Tech make gold valves for these forks? J |

I have heard that drilling a 1mm hole in the damping rod and using lighter weight oil makes these forks better, as does using DG or Pro-tech air caps. However most people replace the forks with a 43mm Showa front-end from a 1983 CR480R. Race Tech does parts for these newer forks. Some lucky folks have found 44mm Fox Factory forks or 38mm Simons... |
