Hi. I have recently acquired a MR175. I do not know the year. I am thinking it is a '76, but not sure. I am need of some information on her. I need to know what size chain she needs and the ft/lb ratings for the head. I also need to know where I can find misc. parts. I need a perch for the clutch lever and a clutch cable. Thanks Scott |

Thanks. I just about had it to '76 and that site confirmed it for me. What about a fuel mix. Will the standard 32:1 work? |

The pre-mix ratio question comes up regularly. Buy a good oil - Bel-Ray, Maxima, Spectro or whatever and mix it to their recommendations. I would go 32:1 unless you chose Bel-Ray MC-1 which should be higher i.e. 50:1. Don't get obsessed over the influence of ratio on jetting...you are only playing with about 1/3 of a main jet size or one clip position on the needle. Altitude and temperature will have much more of an affect. |

I was kind of thinking same way. How about the spark plug gap. I have it at .032 now. I am getting ready to try and kick this beast over and I want to make sure I have everything squared away. I have tried using the "spec " section here but I cannot get it to work. |
