Hi, I would like to known what petrol/oil ratio people are using in mt250s, I am currantly using 40:1 the bike runs fine but the spark plug is getting oiled up and if left on tick over will stall, I might try 50:1 to see if it improves. I have checked the float hight which is ok, any ideas???
thanks marc.

Marc,

I assume you've disconnected the oil injection system? If so, I wouldn't go any lower than 40:1, as I doubt that's your problem.

I'll bet your exhaust pipe is clogged, specifically the spark arrestor ahead of the removable tailpipe baffle. The ring of outlets can be cleaned with pipe cleaners and the center drilled out (my apologies to all for posting this for like the gazillionth time :) ). There may also be substantial carbon buildup in the head tube and exhaust manifold.

Ray
