I don't know what happened to the guy on eBay selling the Wiseco OS MR175 top end sets. As far as I know he only sold a dozen or so, and Wiseco has a fairly large minimum for custom orders - so I imagine he still has a bunch left, and has just stopped listing them for some reason. Come to think of it... have you tried contacting Wiseco? It seems likely they might have added some extra units to the custom order and stuck a few on the shelf as inventory; might be worth a try. I'm now on my 2nd replacement piston in a standard bore (3,700 miles) with no piston slap or problems at all. Standard OEM pistons seem to be the most plentiful on eBay, and Wiseco 2605KD rings work great once the end gap is set. Once you bore it out, you're locked into eBay for replacement rings as well as pistons. When I get my porting finalized, I think I'm going to have the cylinder liner Nikasil coated to the standard bore size (apparently they can add up to .040" of Nickasil). It's a lot more expensive than boring, but it only has to be done once. Sorry I can't help you out with the OS piston. I've got a few here, but none I really want to sell. Ray |
