1980 CR250 bearings and bushings Hi guys, been a while since I checked the site I finally found time to start putting my 1980 Elsie back together (House remodel, work, wifes many projects for me, you guys know the drill!) I just received the frame back from powdercoating. My question is I need to get new swingarm bushing/roller pins, wheel and steering head bushings. I seem to remember vintage elsinores advertised the swingarm stuff but cant find them are they out of business? Additonally Dennis kirk has the items for the wheel and steering head from Moose are they any good? Any additional reccomendations and answers are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and thanks to Nathan for a great site. Dino |

All the bearings and seals are still available from Honda which I highly recommend you use. I believe Vintage Elsinores has gone the route of many of the vintage parts and is "NLA". Moose parts are good quality and will suffice if you want to go that route. Just stay away from Chinese bearings and seals, they are poor quality and you will just end up with new problems in short order. I just finished one of these bikes so I am reasonably current on parts availability and some of the gotchas you might encounter. I'll be glad to pass on any and all info I learned during my experience. dogger |

Hey Dogger, thanks for the reply I didn't know the parts were still available from Honda dealers thats great. Looking forward to getting this bike back together before summers over and yes I will probably have additional questions. Thanks again, Dino |
