Hello all, I would like to rebuild my 1979 CR125R's crankshaft but can't find a kit out there. Can anyone recommend a rod kit from another bike that will be an exact fit for my bike? thanks, nola_fiddy |

Google "Racers Toy Store". The will mix and match an IMS Hot Rod kit to fit Honda cranks. I've had two 1979 CR250R bottom ends done by them. |

This is a common problem as the 79 and 80 CR125 cranks have a 20mm pin and as far as I know know one makes a rod kit for these models. The best way is to get a rod kit for a 81 CR125 / Suzuki RM 125 84/86 (Wiseco or Prox), these however you will need to either line bore the crank to accept a 22mm pin or have the pin ends ground down to 20mm. I've found most 1980 cranks have already been modified BUT they wont fit the 79 because the mains are larger on a 1980. |

You can also try Mr. Crankshaft, had 3 cranks done there, very good service and turn around, each one ran about $150.00. |
