Did Honda originally paint the frames on these bikes gloss or semi-gloss black? So much rust, etc. on mine I can't tell ![]() |

It's a high-gloss black. Dupli-Color DS100 universal black automotive touch-up paint seems to blend pretty well. I know what you mean about rust. The sheet-metal frame section under the seat on my MR looks like a flat potato chip. ![]() Ray |

Thanks Ray! Now if I only could find the formulation for the "Bright Red" used on the gas tank...I can't found that info posted anywhere! |

Jeremy, This site is in Holland, but it looks like a pretty good source for motorcycle paint: http://www.japartsweb.nl/index.php?pntb ... 28&sort=1a 'Bright Red' is apparently Honda code R-8, it's about 2/3 of the way down the list. If anyone knows of a good paint source in the States - or wherever - I'd love to hear about it. http://www.cyclecolor.com bottled touch-up paint worked OK, but I'd really like to find aerosol cans.
