Has anyone ran any progressive shocks on 1978-80 CRs? Are they good shocks? |

I am using the 17.5" progressive shocks on my 1979 CR125R. They work well for trail and mild MX riding but I would not recommend for actual MX racing. The price is right for sure. |

How would you rate them compaired to the stock shocks? |

I put progressives on my 78, work well, can't say much for the stockers (non-piggy back), read they leaked on the showroom floor. I have Ohlins on my 80, much much better. I have some stock piggy back Showas at Thor Lawsons, waiting to be rebuilt, will post what they are like when I get them back. |

Works Performance > Fox Shox > Ohlins in order of price-performance. |

I put Ohlins on my 80 -250. They have been flawless. Glad I spent the extra. |
