Post subject:  Removing swingarm needle bearings 79 CR125

I was servicing my swingarm bearings on my 79 CR125 and the needle bearing cages seem to be stuck against the outer reatainers. The inner retainers came out with just a few light taps, but when I tried to slide the cages over to tap out the outside retainers they seem to be stuck.

Is there a trick to getting these needle bearing cages out or have mine gotten stuck and need to be replaced? Does anyone know the aftermarket part number for these bearings? Thanks for any help!

Well I got the needle-bearings out. Are they suppose to seat this tight or should they slide around freely?

I have them ordered from two different sources, but if anyone ever needs to get them at a bearing house the number is HK 2020 (20x26x20).

I am only familiar with the 1979 CR250R, but having had my hands on about 10 frames, all but one exception needed the bearings, sleeves and caps replaced. Get it over with now :)
