i was just given a 74 mt250. the case below the shifter was broken away revealing the gears and stuff. i found an engine over the internet and bought it. it just arrived and i notice that it has 2 spark plugs. the one currently on the bike only has one. both engines are stamped mt250e. the engine with only one plug has a bolt in the place for the other plug. will this engine work on my bike? my intentions are to just take the old engine off and put the new one on and go. hope this works. i am new to these bikes and very excited to get it running. any helpful info or suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks

The MT-250s do have 2 holes. Use the vertical one for the plug. The other is for a spare plug or compression release. I only use one plug in mine. They made the MT-250 for three years. 74-76. All engines should be interchangeable. Good luck.
