Old Question Im sure running stock Kehien at 1400 ' Stock jetting seems to be for around 3000. Any tips Needle is one down from the top Have installed a 55 slow jet and the stock 185 main air screw 1 to 2 1/2 depending on the day. With the 55 it sounds better in Garage and the plug looked as if it was improving. awaiting track test . My manal says if overall rich to drop the floats 2 mm .Any experiences doing this? My fear would be starvation and this bike rips on top. Anybody have needles for these carbs? |

These are the only needles I'm aware of: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOS-Hond ... ccessories The '79 and '80 carbs use the same slides and the needle jets look identical, so I assume this needle will work. I bought one of these from this guy, and he sent me a 31A needle (16201-430-00) along with the correct 31C needle listed (16203-430-000); no needle jet, just the needles. I've had bad luck trying to tune carbs using the float height; nowadays I set it once and leave it. In my opinion, the best way to make small adjustments to the overall mixture is with the pilot jet.
