Anyone know if you can run the oem stock springs with Progressive Shocks? A buddy gave me some nearly new progressive units and I would like to try them out. These are for the rear shocks on a 79 CR250.
thanks,
sj

As a fellow OSU Cowboy, I would love to tell you "yes." But I don't know. You'll have to measure the springs and see if they fit the shocks. If they are right diameter and length, you probably can. But if you can afford it, I'd probably try and buy new, correct springs from progressive. I've been eyeing a set myself...

Thanks Mitchie. They claim the length and diameter are same. I will measure and find out. New springs are about $90 so I'll try to make these work first.

p.s. Welcome to the PAC-10 Conference!

Sounding like you'll get to follow the pokes a bit more now if this all goes through. It doesn't make geographical sense to me, but I have to say I've always thought the Big 12 combination was pretty boring conference. Tony Allen has been getting a lot of minutes in the NBA playoffs. Glad to see that !!
