My 1980 CR250 kick starter is getting really weak after 30 years of abuse. It doesn't want to stay in like it once did and flops around. I am affraid it will come out at the worst time. A rubber band is an option to keep it in, but I am hoping for more. I was wondering if anyone knows of a person/company that rebuilds the kick start lever? Maybe there is someone who makes new ones? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Mike |

I found a guy or should I say he found me about repairing the CR kickers. His name is Robert Boucher (612-729-0481) and he comes highly recommended for repairing the 78-80 CR250 kick start levers. I spoke to him the other night and he is not doing any work until the fall/winter time frame. He also went through his machining process that tightens them up. I hope to be the first in line this fall when he fires up the old mill again....... I sure hope this helps some others? Mike |

Yep. Same guy I talked to. Very nice and very detailed in what he does. I also will be sending my kickstarter to him when the time comes. |
