I just got 79 cr250 that I want to restore I need the left seat mounting bracket any help out there??will the bracket off any ![]() |

Go to bikebandit.com look up the OEM part for your bike and compare that number with other years with that same model. OR you could call your local Honda dealer and he can look it up and tell you all the exact makes and models that will fit. |

Unless your restoring to concours you would better off just making a new pair from a piece of 3mm thick aluminium, its a very easy job to do and if you put some effort into the finish they look better than stock as well. |

In their infinite wisdom, Honda only sells the brackets complete with the seat (or vice versa depending on your point of view). The steel OEM parts break, but can be welded. It looks like the seats are different between the 1978, 1979 and 1980 models but I believe that to be only because of the seat cover. The brackets can be inter-changed. I am surprised that their are not after-market replacements as they look easy to make. |
