Is there any way to get dents out of an aluminum tank? if not what kind of filler (bondo)do you guys reccomend thanks, Craig ![]() |

a really good metalsmith can work miracles. But it sometimes entails cutting bottom off tank and rewelding it. And it is unbelievably expensive. Good luck. I've never tried bondo or any other filler on aluminum, but I've seen aircraft guys use standard microballoon auto filler on small dents. They etch the aluminum first. |

i wouldnt fill it if its a huge dent. but its also expensive if you redo the whole thing. upwards of a grand for complete restore. depends on how much you want it to be perfect. have heard a lot of home made remedies (air pressure, fuel and lighter) but they usually have really bad results unless you REALLY know what youre doing. recommendation...live with it, or take it to a pro. its really hard with these small tanks |
