Hey guys can you tell me how many friction discs this clutch is supposed to take? I put brand new friction discs in about 4 months ago and replaced the same amount of discs I took out but I remember there was one extra in the pack. I didnt start the bike or ride it for a good while and when I did the clutch slipped just like it did before I worked on it....... I thought the springs and steels looked ok so i didnt replace them.Any ideas? |

...try and get someone to confirm the service limit for the clutch springs. You may have the correct number of disks, but the springs are worn out. I just put a set of Barnett springs in my 1979 CR250R clutch and it is real nice. Maybe they are available for your bike if the OEM ones are discontinued. |
