| Post subject: | bike won't down shift |
Just rebuilt the motor on my 74 CR 125 & upon test riding it everything ran great. It shifted through all six gears nicely but would not down shift. When the bike is not running and you rock it, it shifts up & down but seems to be binding up. I have not yet pulled the clutch cover off but I'm going to start there. Any suggestions to what may cause this?? Thanks |

Just a follow up. After pulling the clutch basket off and checking the shifting forks that ride on the shifting drum, I noticed I left a washer out. After replacing the washer Ahhhh smoooooth shifting again. |
