File comment: Stock forks bend. Make an index mark at the top and rotate them 180 degrees periodically to prolong life. Must rotate them exactly 180 together or they will stick or jam.

File comment: Duct tape sidepanels to frame at top, Seat will hold them on and they won't fly off during a race.

File comment: Make oval plastic shim from Clorox or detergent bottle and punch holes to mount it inside sidepanel with rubber strap. Keeps frame tabs from wearing sidepanel

File comment: MR175 shifter will bend in a fall and not damage tranny like solid CR125 one. MR175 footpegs are wider and direct swap

My CR frame's footpegs & mounts were pretty tweaked from years of hard landings, so I tried Works Connection's footpeg wideners:

I positioned them on the old pegs at right angles to the frame and tilted upwards very slightly at the ends, then had them welded on. It came out pretty well; just like when the pegs were new & unbent, except wider and with better grip.

Later I found out about the VMX Racing ones for $99, which look pretty nice (they still would have drooped downward on my bike, though):
