i think you are looking for the rear tank holder that´s look like an 8.
the first one i had was cut by the rear tank mounting so the 2.one (witch was not easy to get) is lying now in my spare parts box.
for riding and racing i took an O-ring witch i bend unter the frame with a cablestrap.

Joe, yes the "8" piece is what I am looking for I figured I would have to rigg something I am going to fab a (_) shaped bracket to go on under side of frame to attach O-ring I will probably rubber coat bracket so as not to damage frame finish still would be nice to have oem rubber mount I will keep looking, Craig

Most of these parts I have run across have been perished. I might have one if you want it for show / completeness. A working solution is to use the widest zip tie you can find.

....the motor above rocks.

zip-tie yes that will work I can get some the right width I will run it through some rubber tube to protect frame PC if you have an extra O.E.M. part I would be interested PM me to let me know thanks for the zip-tie idea this should work great, thanks for compliment on motor this is my 1st restoration also 1st time with powder coat I am building a oven this week that I can get my frame into I will post when finished, Craig

Craig, I may have extras of the tank rubber/hook. Happy to get it to you if I can find it in the boxes in the garage. Try to take a look this afternoon.

What recipe did you use for the powder coat?

I got the powder from dogger (thanks Don) motor was gloss then pc'ed satin clear to get the matt finish the HONDA lettering was taped before color was applied then removed b-4 clear was applied so there is a coat of clear over the lettering also
