Hey all I was wondering if anyone knows if a rear wheel from a 74-76 mt 250 will fit (ie line up) with a 76 mr250. I am having trouble getting a sprocket that will work for the mr as it is somewhat of an oddball. Sprocket Specialists wont have one until November but a flat sprocket for the MT may be easier to find. On another note are there any other sprockets from other makes/manufacturers that will work on the stock MR? Thanks

A CR hub is interchangeable with an MR, but you probably already know that. But my understanding is that it isn't the hub that was the reason for the dished sprocket. It was a change in the engine alignment/swingarm. I have a feeling that even if you change hubs to a 73-74 CR hub that you still need the dished sprocket. There used to be a kit with a spacer and longer bolts where you could run a flat sprocket, but when I looked I could never find one. So I've always ordered mine from Sprocket Specialists. I do see these available quite regularly through ebay. Are you wanting a 48 tooth? Did you ask Sprocket Specialist about any other sizes?? i.e. 47 tooth, 49 tooth etc? I like a 13/48 setup, but if you used a 14/51 it would be close to the same thing. Wow, Sprocket Specialists new web page just sucks big time. Call only, I guess.
Try the Re-MX guy. He may have some lying around and is always helpful: (410) 799-3578 Tue - Fri 11:00am - 5:30pm EST

Mitchie Thanks for the reply. I figured that I was going to have trouble finding that dished sprocket but I called westernhillshonda this AM and they had 3 in stock!!! Aluminum and steel in the 47t. Sweet!!! Ordered one up and hopefully I will be ready to go. Westernhills has been very helpful. Per
